Come From Away is the Tony Award-winning musical based on the true story of 7,000 airline passengers stranded in Gander, Newfoundland, after U.S. airspace was shut down following the September 11 attacks. The show celebrates the extraordinary kindness of the residents who welcomed, fed, and housed the “come from aways” during a time of global uncertainty.

The historic Rinehart Theatre where the CTA performs shows is located in a quaint residential area on the east side of Ashland. Heading east on Main Street (from Ellis Avenue), turn right on 5th Ave E (right before the laundromat) and then a quick left into our parking lot.
